Crossfire - Same model, difference vendors

Will it work. I have a Gainward 4870 512mb and want to crossfire with a Saphire 4870 512mb.


I'm assuming the answer is yes because they use the same chipset are essentially the same, except for their respective bios's.
 
Do i need to do any bios flashes etc?

Sorry for the noob questions but it's my fire crossfire (ewwww :D)
