DC5 or S2000. I'm a Honda fan, and already own an EP3 Civic so no need to opt for that.

I'm not in a ninsurance position for all out power and I prefer a B road frinedly car when it comes to great fun. DC5 and Civic wise they are still quite practical and are OK for daily use too, but them I'm a bit more hardcore than some of the BMW fans when it comes to comfort.

Out of that choice probably a DC5 or Evo for me :)

I've been looking at Evos lately (4 or 5), cheapish to buy but I think the servicing costs would kill me!

Me, personally, Focus RS, always have liked them, the flared arches and a bit of boost. I'm a focus fan though ;) .

DC5 or the Scooby.

Off the list, i'd be looking at Cooper S' (If I could insure them lol)

mmm choices, as I don't personally use my car to commute anything is an option and for that I'd want something raw for Sunday blasts. Probably the Impreza, but if servicing and running was going to come into it, then a DC5 :o

ST220 (saloon) or 330(c)i would be my choice if I had to commute

STI, DC5, DC2

Why?

The STI is my kind of car. Looks good, very quick, handles excellently, modable, reliable = w1n

The Honda's because anything else on that list isn't raw enough or doesn't handle well enough. Plus they look the dogs.

Could add Clio 197, they're very much dipping below 10k (planning on selling mine soon for less than that).

My choice though would probably be a S2000, soft top, high revving NA engine and good fun to drive.

I'd get a Skoda Fabia vRS for that money.

Combines decent performance and good efficiency and all the advantages of a smaller car.
