I just fried my first egg.

It was, yet I was only on number 2 out of 6 on the hob and I let it slowly cook this time, maybe less oil would have done better.

Number 2 out of 6 it was.

Was you using the same oil you used before ? if it was it is still going to be super hot from last time you used it. Same with the pan

Looks better
Olive oil is a strange choice for that. Groundnut oil is perfect IMHO, a nice deep pool of it so that it can cook all the white properly (fairly slowly) but leave the yolk soft in the middle

Yea, but the yoke was not cooking fast enough so I tried to flip em, flipped one and it cooked nicely but I broke it when I tried to turn it over again not that I needed to :p, yoke was sort of hardish, tasted ok, but am learning.

Bacon, hmmm I've never cooked meat before, but wary of that as its meat, I might have a try later, have 4 eggs today thats enough for one day!

To the first paragraph : you were punching above your weight there to be honest. As I think Zefan said; the trick is to try and splash some of the hot oil over the yolk part (I tilt pan so oil runs to bottom then splash it back over the egg with some cooking instrument).

To the second: You are 19 and never cooked an egg, that's almost fair enough....but no meat? Let alone bacon?

^Is there anyone else who is disturbed by this? :)

Stop it !!! your going to confuse the young boy

This is clearly far too advanced for him !!! :p
Fine, here's a diagram lol :D

Thats a nice diagram lol :p

That does like very nice and I might try it tomorrow, need to go down to Aldi to get some more eggs and stuff.

OCUK breeds some rather odd people.....

Why feel the need to post this? Well done you can fry an egg, next step time travel :/

butter and olive oil = perfect egg.

But jesus christ you're how old and never fried an egg!....yet you're allowed to vote! ha

Voting is not relating to frying an egg, I don't see how it is so hard to believe...

When I was at home I ate the main meals my mum cooked, when I was hungry and wanted a snack I either had sarnies, rice or noodles or anything else there may be such as soup etc... Its only since I have moved away I decided to try frying eggs.

I don't know I just thought I would post it, thanks I'll let OcUK know when I've invented time travel wont be long now...

It is.

Other guy did boiled eggs the other day, he never leaved them long enough and they where still abit raw so he nuked them in the microwave and they nearly exploded.

I finally learned a few years back to bash the eggs on a flat surface rather than on the edge of the pan. That trick has saved me from breaking so many yolks :)

Have never fried or boiled or scrambled an egg :(

Am allergic to them so wouldn't do them for me, and if cooking for someone else they usually do it.

The only place I made scrambled eggs was when I worked at Maccy Ds lol.
