hi specs are:

p35c-ds3r (latest bios F5) rev 1.1
q6600 (no overclock)
pcie bfg nvidia 640mb

and 2x1 gig crucial ballistix tracer 8500

ok ive had system for about a month and was real happy until one day i got quite a few bsod's over and over relating to irq not equal and pagefile in a non paged area also the one that doesnt explain much but says shutdown to prevent damage.

ive ran memtest86+ and the microsoft memory test and i get 3500 errors, believing my memory to be at fault and hoping its not the mobo

on the memtest itll test for an address say fffffff and i will get ffffffd leading to an error it does this continuously.

i also get errors in windows about address violation etc, anyway does it sound like the memory to you or should i be setting the correct voltage etc in the bios? at the moment everything is set to auto cause im a bit of a noob at overclocking, if so anyone know what the voltages/timings should read?

my downloads are also mostly corrupt maybe its the memory or maybe its the fact that my sata drives will corrupt data on a blue screen who knows anyway any help is appreciated as ive gone bald from pullin my hair out :(

thanks

fonzio

I mate

yep it´s the ram
and yes the rated Vdimm for that Ram is 2.2V
test one stick at a time-most for sure it´s only one stick wich is dodgy
aniway if you RMA it you need to send the two back

ok tested both sets of ram individually

1 was reported successful the other failed, so i removed the failed one and continued to install windows yay i thought everything is working again no bsods no errors etc

so left on overnight woke up this morning and the comp was in a loop of bsods pfn_list corrupt damn, so did memtest and it failed moved the memory stick to the next slot and got successful so back in windows any thoughts as to what is happening?

thanks in advance

Test each stick individually in each slot. If one stick fails in all slots then it's RMA time.

your ram is borked,IMO

I had the same problem with two diferent kit´s of crucial PC2 5300

I scratched my head for a while,to figure out where is the problem( bsod´s and ramdom restarts)- i was thinking the problem was the mobo, then the hdd, then the PS
well when i changed the ram( after rmaed it)everithingh went to normal,no more problems:)

After RMA´s , I use it at stock ( DDR 667mhz) and with just 1.9 Vdimm and all is fine in the last 4/5 months:)
before that I was using the ram overclocked and with 2.2V
I think the micron chip´s D9 GMH are great for overclock ( they reach very, very high mhz) but they do not last at that frequencies

Yep. Crucial-Lexar must be kicking themselves with the massive amount of warranty returns they're processing. But to be fair to them, they just take them back and send you another set, often a better set than you sent:D

omg i have the same problem i have Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA106A)
and i can be on this website and it will crash ramdom......Or random restarts bsod
i get about 3500 errors on memtest...never going to buy Crucial again!

Yup, up the ram voltage to 2.2v.

My 4 sticks of ballistix were running at default and after a couple months started getting BSOD's etc, was all for sending them back when someone suggested upping the voltage.

Have been working fine for the last 3 days spot on.

I have been having the exact same issues as the OP, PFN LIST Currupt, Memory Management BSOD - IRQ NOT LESS EQUAL

Would this certainly be the RAM, that is causing this?

I tried memtest+ v2.01 left it for 9hrs with all four sticks in and got a few errors. So testing individually for about 3 hrs on each stick and no errors came up, tested in each slot as well - no errors. PC has been fine and dandy for ages up until a few days ago, i started getting the above BSOD's along with loads of services closing down, like superfetch and svchost and readyboost or something like that.

Was thinking about buying x2GB of black dragon 8500 or x2GB Corsair Doms 8500

*Sorry for jumping on the OP's thread, but same issues really.

Luck of the draw on memory tbh.. I've had Crucial, OCZ, Kingston etc all fail on me.. The only manufacturer that I've never had a problem is Corsair but that's not to say that there are not those that haven't any problems.

Getting the same error mate i just made order for some new ram

Shame really I quite liked the fancy lights on the tracers.
I haven't a clue which of the ram is dodgy as all passed memtest and vista mem diag individually. I phoned crucial up and told the guy on the phone that i ran the test for 9hrs and he said "Wasn't any need for that long of a test, 30 mins would be suffice"

Bad pic I know but all i had on me at the time was phone cam. I chose the option on memtest number 4 and number 3, check for errors and bad ram. The above came up.

yeah i had that amount also my G.Skill 2GB DDR2 PK PC2-8500C5 (2x1GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-8500CL5D-2GBPK)
Just been dispatched will update you how they run

Ordered some x2 2GB Geil Black Dragon 8500, should be here tomorrow. Hope they perform as well as the tracer did without any errors. Really is a pitty crucial's tracer doesn't last as without errors it really is good ram.

MY firefox has been giving me nothing but issues since the other day (first bsod's) no sooner i open FF and it gives crash report, but saying that I updated from 3.01 to 3.02 and i was trying loads of things to figure what what was wrong with my PC. Ended up rolling back 2 weeks, which took FF off. So tried to download FF again and british FF 3.02 link was dead on mozilla, i think it was seriously buggy (the update). I had FF 3.exe on ext HDD so installed that and all has been fine.

Currently running off x2 1 GB tracer which seems fine, left the other 2 out which im sending back. Get new memory tomorrow and i'm going to format, because all these PNF list errors hasn't done anything good to my system as it was deleting and parsing and reparing and what not a few times. I like a clean smoothly flowing system tbh.

I thought my pc just needed a clean install so i did that.
And still got the BSOD getting my ram in the morning also me hope its all good :)
