Basically anything with a helicopter and guns in it then ?

Indeed, i'd love to see some of the old 2d NES/MasterSystem/Megadrive/SNES games remade with really high quality sprites/backgrounds and animation (still in 2D of course!).

Super Metroid would be at the top of my list!

Left of centre:

Remember Flood? (Game for ST/Amiga - needed to guide your piece of snot round a map collecting trash, before drowning/yer nan's ghost getting ya)

3d Platformer/fps hybrid would be awesome...cryengine? :)

As mentioned

Stunt car racer - Just Awesome. I could get onto the last league but was never able to finish this.

Carrier command - As above - Finished this massive game attaching the enemy carrier at one of my defence island with a Walrus mounted chemical laser. There was so much else going on that the enemy didn't bother to attack the walrus. Chemical laser rocks

Elite - Shades if you actually got past "Deadly" to "Elite" Tribbles anyone?

Counter-Strike - No seriously, it's starting to look pants again

UFO: Enemy Unknown - Loved this, clocked this (on the easiest level which was still damn hard). Still have my copies of this and TFTD but they run like a dog with no legs. Any feedback on the later games offered through Steam atm?

R-Type - Just Yay.

I could happily play through the Monkey Island games again

Ghouls and Ghosts - You thought Ghosts and Goblins was tricky

<<Very deffinately The Shuffle Puck Cafe'>>

Tekken - The first one. I have 5 but it's not as fun somehow

Driller - Only joking :D

Defo more Wing Commander - Like 1 or 2 not this rubbish early video naff acting 3 - Say no to Mark Hamill

My personal favourites that I would love to have updated are,

Frontier: Elite 2 (keep the same models, pyshics, maps and generaly everything else. However, juts update the graphics and sound. That would make the perfect game in my eyes.)

Detroit. The car manufacturing game. Make a car and try to sell it. Make updated model and flog that. Open new factories. Make more cars and make money. This is a must in my opinion. The ammount of racing games and car games in general that allow you to modify your ride and sell it on, online could really help out with the update of Detroit. All I would improve is the AI. I know thats agaisnt the OP's rules but hey, they are meant to be broken.

Im thinking of a game where you had an upgradeable taxi cab with weapons and stuff. It was set in this city where you could drive round picking up fares but also taking on missions like hunting down other cars, sort of set in a futuristic dark and dirty city. Anyone have a clue what this game was?

G-Police

The game in full surround with some better physics and modern graphics would be immense. Always thought the original was a great game with a decent story.
Don't need to do much with the cut scenes, if they were upped to an HD res it'd be pretty awesome.

OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDD Emlyn, 100000 internet points/cookies for you.

I have been trying to find the name of this game for ages.
I remember playing the demo disc of this game for months!

There was another game where you could turn into a walker type machine or a tank (I think you were cops as well).

:X
