Live steam and mini site:
http://t-mobileg1.com/

It's coming to the UK in November. In the US it will cost $179 with a $25 or $35 price plan.

So I'm hoping It's going to be £150 and I can get a £25/£30 price plan with this. I don't use my phone to speak to people but having full net access around with me is something I would love. The joystick on my Sony Ericsson has finally given up and I'm 20 now and not having a contact phone makes me "uncool".

So yeah anyone getting this?

EDIT: Live stream is over. Sorry for the late post :p

Android is a Open Source mobile phone platform (OS). Basically like Windows Mobile. It's made by Google.

I like it a lot and it would make me happy not to give Steve Jobs any of my money. Each time i touch it i'm sure i will get a shot of happiness into my viens

Looks pretty exciting, the idea of a totally open app store is very promising. Quite like the look of the hadset but would have to see it in real life.

Pretty miffed it's only on T-mobile. But apparently the baseband bit is open source so I'm not sure how long they sim-lock it for.

NO 3.5mm headphone socket, they having a laugh?!

From what i've seen on engadget it looks as bad a most WM phones :D

Chances are there will be some other android os phones in another month or two either from the same manufacturer or another phone company, Google makes the software and all they need to do is supply some hardware for it, then we get to mess around with it... :D

I think it looks quite slick. Needs some work, but its looking promicing.
Few performance tweaks in certain places and one or two GUI changes and it'll be right up there with the usability of an iPhone.

agree, absolute school boy error on behalf of htc there. why are they so reluctant to put a standars headphone jack into their phones; i know some of them have them but its quite rare on a htc product. surely the additional cost cant be that much

Stuff open source WITH google crap. Go fully fledged open source and help this project expand!

The phones are a nightmare to get a hold of at the moment though. Some problems are still being "ironed out". I would still say a power-user geek phone, but hey, this is OcUK right? :D

Jack.
