i'm not sure about the paying them for breast milk bit, the problem was they were telling them how amazing powdered milk was and giving it to them quite cheaply, so that they started using it, and once they stop breast feeding they cant start again, so when either the water or the money runs out the babies are screwed. This is why lots of places boycot nestle

I am not for PETA at all and think this is a fantastically idiotic idea. However if you read into it humans arent really meant to be drinking the milk of other animals at all, hence why a lot of people are still lactose intolerant - we still havent completely evolved to take cows milk into our system. I've read somewhere that it was just our primitive ancestors assuming that because milk is fine to drink from the breast then it should be alright to drink the milk from any other species but dont quote me on that.
