*** Official Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Thread***

I've actually got to say that higher level gear has a less noticible effect than lower level gear too. At a lower level resists can be a bit high, but they don't scale to higher level. So while some sets seem to create ubber WPs in the t1 range, this effect smooths out over the levels until t4.

Becasue the best gear hasn't been gathered yet? Because people are still levelling and grinding. Give it 6 or 7 months and it will head the same direction.

Yet you get xp every time you play a scenario, you'll outlevel it in due course. There wont be ridiculously geared chars at the top of their band for more than a day or two.

I look at the PQ as a nice way of letting players like me, works monday to friday, plays a few hours at the weekend a way of getting xp and some items for a while.

Its a nice touch :)

I've also been impressed with some of the T2 PQs. We've been doing dragons gate and such in elf zones and the bosses have an obscene amount of HP. Took around 10 minutes of a wb wailing on them to take them down (with periodic waves of mobs battling in).
People shouldn't judge PQs from the early chapters in T1 zones.

With a mate of mine we gathered a few people and did all the chaos T1 PQ, we weren't a lot just a normal group at first and they were quite challenging. That was really fun, at the last one we made a huge warband a lot of people joined us we had to kill two boss it was really awesome touch to the game :p

Of course i sucked at the roll and lost but still had fun

I dont suppose anyone saw the special edition metro this morning?

Its got warhammer on the front! I would take a picture but its got a squig herder in his squig bursting out of the front page, Looks really cool!

I wonder how much that cost em to do that..?

Hmm didnt see that in london - sounds good that they are putting in a bit of money towards advertising. I'm sure a big percentage of Metro readers (30 somthing professionals) will actually recognise the squig from their teen years and wander what its all about :D

If the demographic of my guild is anything to go by (16-58, majority late 20's-40s), hopefully some of them will buy the game :D.

You never forget your first squig ;)

Still love the game, but after today looking for faults i can see how badly the game is coded! Ive just upgraded from an 8800GTX and 2 gig of RAM to a ATI4870 1gig and 3 gig of RAM (cos im on Vista 32bit :P) and i can see a definate improvement in FPS, but the hitching has not changed at all! After lots of research i can say hand on heart that this game has some kind of memory issues!

theres a mod on the curse site that improves on the slowdown, currently you're hindered by the ui keeping tabs so regularly on buff/debuffs. When sberer i'll find the link

Does the hitching occur duing PvP? I read a thread on warhammer alliance which suggests the combat log being written to disk is causing some hitching issues. It seems it might be a LUA implementation problem. Remove the combat tab and uncheck it as a filter on other tabs to see if helps with the issue at all.

So you wanted a ridiculous grind/spam fest that takes 6+ hours to finish with very little reward for those that lose. The one sided feel to scenarios will simply be due to player skill, get better.

As for quests in rvr areas, you must be under lvl 20? The further you progress the more action takes place within pvp zones, you can stick to pve if you wish but there is the option to go with pvp a lot.

If you went to a t4 zone atm to see what its like, of course its going to be nearly empty, the games been out a week and i'd say under 0.01% of players are lvl 40. The majority are in tier 2 moving on to tier 3 shortly, been in a few large keep battles now already in t2/t3.

I do wonder how people get through life if they refuse to open their eyes and instead stick their fingers in their ears and shout rumours.
AV didnt take 6 hours it took 1 if youe side knew what they were doing.

scenarios beeing one sided isnt down to me alone and im actually really good in scenarios its just theres so many idiots that dont realise what a healer class is and they sit there bashing a brick wall that carrys on to have its bricks replaced everytime they knock a layer off.

i meant real quests not scout location X , gather cannon balls, test fire a canon that has no meaning. etc

quests for reinforcement npcs that could break a stalemate that sort of thing.

i didnt mean t4 zones beeing empty of players go take a look at them one of them is 2 forts with a 10minute run across nothingness inbetween them they could have atleast added some scenery or something you might aswell be running on a treadmill.

and im lvl22 or 23 on my main but ive stopped playing him for awhile waiting for more people to level so i dont get to 40 and barely anyone is there. (currently enjoying leveling a sorc whos at 15 nearly)

i didnt say the game sucks so i dont know why you take my post as some kind of flame i was merely commenting on the way i would have liked some parts of the game to be.

imo a more epic style scenario would serve to cater to the people who are planning on playing for a long time and dont want the interuptions of a loading screen and a queue every 5-10 minutes when theres no real pvp taking place in the open world.

generally when any open pvp takes place so far one side always ends up running into there warcamp anyway. i know end game will be different but something nice along the way would apeal to quite a large number of people i would imagine.
i never said there shouldnt be any quick pvp fix scenarios like the ones there are now

i can say hand on heart that this game has some kind of memory issues
it does i leave memory optimizer running in my sys tray and when the game loads up i force it to free every mb of memory i have.

for some reason the game caches loads of stuff at the login screen that isnt needed.

i dont know about anyone else but my pagefile jumps upto 1gb even when ive still got tons of free ram aswell

I just started the game, Im on the 2nd map off the dwarf city Lol. Chapter 3 I think. Havent seen any auction house up till now.

PQ is a lot of fun, completed all 3 on chapter 2 and got really good items.

Chapter 3's PQs are a lot harder..

Fly to altdorf to find the AH. The closet to the flight master is just south across the market square :).
Wait until you face the T2 PQs, lots harder but lots more fun.

Yea, PQ is a lot a lot of fun. I am on the 2nd map off dwarf city, is there a flight master here?

nearly every RVR area (the places with the keeps and control points) has a warcamp which is where the light masters are.

on the 2nd dwarf map i think theres a warcamp at the far side of the zone past the crashed train at the bottom end of the ralway tracks or am i thinking of the 3rd dwarf zone?
