freaking amazing gaphics in new mod for HL2

fake factory will soon release there new mod to bring HL2 graphics above and beyond anything seen so far even sweat! on skin check tis alyx model out !

LOL check out Captain Killjoy, just another day in the games forum that hates games.

I never really liked the "supermodel" Alyx skins but I do love how Fakefactory pushes the boundaries of the four year-old Source engine, that closeup of her face easily competes with the textures of any recent title.

It's version 9, new version, so I'd say yes it is "new".

But nonetheless, it looks pretty pants IMO... but those screenshots don't look very well composed so it could just be that! She just seems to stand out too much from the background, doesn't fit in, so to me it has the opposite effect to making it look more realistic. Her face alone looks more real but as a whole picture I don't think it does.

It's difficult to deny that it's incredibly impressive what the HL2 engine is capable of considering how old it is when you look at the second screenshot in the Op.

Yep I spend most of my time in the games forums but yes I hate games ¬_¬
I'm just saying - we're now at version 9 of this mod and yet she still looks AWFUL! And how you can say that her face compares with recent games is laughable - sure if you were comparing her to a real life barbie doll prehaps I'd agree with you
