I'm 23, 6', 12 stone and body fat of 15%. I've developed a bit of a tyre around my waist, nothing huge yet, but I want to get it in check before I've completely let myself go.

There seems to be a huge amount of rubbish on the net about weight loss, if someone could break down an effective sustainable way of reducing body fat I'd be really grateful.

It's not a competition, I'm pretty lean apart from my belly which is starting to get porky! I exercise and eat pretty well but I'm slowly putting on weight which is starting to show. Ideally I'd like to get rid of my lip and keep it off. I've heard about ketosis, it sounds pretty intense, but if it gets the fat off then It's something I'd consider.

Use the search function, this topic is covered over, and over, and over again :)

The basics are this:
-A calorie deficit of 250-500 calories, eat that many less than you burn.
-Good, solid diet. Complex carbs. good protein. Low fat.
-Don't drink your calories
-Excersise
-Sleep

Ant

BMI doesn't really work for bodybuilders, boxers etc.. but it works for classifying people that don't body build or making sure you are not underweight.
