Well, probably more blacks in the USA than whites so he may get in!! I think they would be better off letting a Rabid monkey become president.

Edit: They already have!!! George Bush!!!

Personaly i think Obama will win. There are a lot of voters who dont care about the indepth changes they are going to make, most will just see that obama is going to raise taxes (by around 11%) for the extremely wealthy, but for the majority of people (lower 2 thirds of voters) he is going to lower taxes by much more then McCain.

Awesome!

I agree that Obama isn't exactly awesome himself, but he's a crapload better than Mccain. And it's scary to think that Palin could end up in power.

ok theres the chance McCain might croak it, but unlikely in the next 4 years, if his health gets worse he won't run again, or at least wouldn't win. But VP's are non entities, she's only been added to the ticket to wipe out Obama's "minority" status as a reason to vote for him. Never been a Black guy in office, but nor has a woman and we've got one of those now. Thats really the only reason she's there, nothing more, nothing less, she'll most likely be pushed off into the background like most VP's.

This is exactly why Obama shouldn't get in power, he will not ever be able to get the support to shift taxes that significantly. He's making enemies of the entire house and senate before he even got nominated as the Democratic leader, he keeps talking about change and getting rid of this that and the other and not complying with big business. In a little boy's perfect vision of the universe those are perfectly fine and naive viewpoints. In real life you have to go along with the people in real power to get anything you want done at all. He's going to be opposed on almost everything he wants to get done purely because of his anti big business stance due to the fact that, big business owns most of the votes for everything ever passed. he will be a lame duck president as he gets in as he has no friends, no power, no idea, and no plan........... he just wants change.

He might infact win, based purely on the fact that he is promising things he will never even come close to delivering and stupid people falling for it. But McCain actually has a far better chance of getting things done. His entire platform is, I'm Black and i want CHANGE... but my idea's for change will coincidentally change every 3 minutes and nothing I've remotely promised is feasable. I mean, a president might win if he runs around promising tax break for everyone except those evil rich 1%, and will give 4million dollars to every poor person. However, he wouldn't be able to deliver either.

He'll be the biggest joke president in history, including Bush.

Then again, the Presidency is moving ever further into being a figure head doing big business's bidding. The way its going every election it will matter less and less who actually wins as they will all do the same things anyway.

Actually, following the quatrains it makes more sense for Obama to be 'the king who will bring peace for a long time'

Unless the assassination by the neo cons goes ahead.

One thing is clear after watching the first debate.

Obama has a plan, he often has bullet points on what he wants to do where McCain often dig up the past and say how he is oppose to this and that....the problem with that is he is part of it being VP.

See Obama could have quite easily went oh my VP is.................

Hill-Dog!

But he didn't and it was all down to the sheer fact she is a total idiot and he didnt want to have to stand that for his 4 years in office. The reason McCain went for Palin is the simple fact that there was no way he would win the vote against Obama as it stood. had he appointed a male VP he would be no-where in the opinion polls and the sheer fact he appointed a female I bet got a lot of those Hill-Dog female voters on his side so he actually stands a chance.

As for the assassination thing I suspect there will be a few attempts, there is a lot of prejudice opinion out there in America and a lot of them wont stand for a black president.

Seems to have been going on for ever. When do the actual elections take place??
