GH3 Controll On Rockband?

Hey all, got the GH3 Guitar for my PS2, but I am unsure if it will work with Rock Band... Will it?

I googled it 'rock band and guitar hero compatibility' (Sorry I own RB/GH3 on Xbox 360) the Wireless Kramer Striker (Guitar Hero III) appears to work with RB. You may want to wait for someone who has tried it though.

Sorry off topic but on a side note it looks like the new wave of GH:WT and RB2 instruments are compatable with each other on the 360. Yay.
 
well, 360 have always had cross compatibility, but the PS3 only got it recently. PS2 - not sure, as the PS3 received it by a patch - little difficult on a PS2 with no HDD.

What i mean by that is that i can now use my GH3 guitar on Rock Band on PS3 - whereas i couldnt before. The hardware for rockband on PS2/PS3 is identical (same box) - so in short i dont know, but my suspocion is probably not, as it wouldnt be updateable by patch.
 
Quick thing - does this patch make RB worth getting?

I've held off so far because I don't fancy paying £50+ for the RB guitar plus whatever I can get the solus for, but now I only need the game itself?
 
Just an update for anyone who wants to know:

Both GH2 and GH3 guitars work with the PS2 version of Rock Band :)
