British Army Apaches!

It'll be next year, you've just missed this years.

If you go, you get to be quite close to the hardware - close enough to see the blast wave and distortion of the air when the armour and arty fire and close enough to see the spent cases being ejected from the AH-64's, weather's variable on the plain though and if its good you'd get some great photo's.

Damn, I never knew about this. I live in Salisbury I can't believe I haven't heard about it :/

I will try and keep my eye out. I am surprised that public are allowed though ?!

Place's are limited, it's done five times usually in one week, the first 4 are rehersals for the final day - which is only open to Goverment/defence/VIPs, there's also a manouver demo and static displays.
Usually helps to have a military connection but not essential. It's open to the public in part as a public relations and recruiting exercise, civilians get to see where there tax goes and a brief look at army life if you'd like to join and some great photo oppurtunities.

The Infanty Unit based at Tidworth will be doing it next year so enquire to them.
