Ikea/Argos desk

Cheers mate

, its a Morgan modular desk from Argos. Its the Oak variant but they stopped doing this one a while ago. Not actually sure they even do these desks anymore.

I think i paid around £50 for it which is pretty cheap for such a large desk.

They are OK, I'm pleased with mine, but Ive had it over 2 years now and the finish is starting to come off the front edge where my sleeve must rub. You'd probably be better off with something better quality thats going to last years of use. But this will cost a lot more to buy.

I picked got the following desk from argos and it is bomb proof, totally and utterly rock solid, so much so that I have even stood on it without even so much as a creak. :eek:

Im never buying from ikea again, this piece of **** isnt even real pine/wood/what ever it was trying to pretend it as. and I paid £80 for it. Guess you get what you pay for - I was expecting better quality for that much money tbh. It is after all just a table.

utajoker, what make model is that mate? How much was it?

I think with glass I would be worried about damaging it, looks nice tho indyskyz

I've got a couple of these, (there's photos of them somewhere in the Desk and Room Gallery) ... absolutely fine and cheap. Feel very stable and are a good size. I'm currently running a 22" and a 17" dual headed setup on one but that's leaving a large amount of space at the end of the desk, (probably at least a third of the length), for random stuff.

I always say build your own, a kitchen worktop + some 1"x2" for wall baton + some ikea legs for the front = HUGE desk.

Though the guy on here who had his room re-done by a proper joiner that was stunning! Got soo much room out of an awkward shaped room.

hadnt really thought about black to be honest, all my PC is black so it might be a bit ott. Really liek the oak venner but they dont do that on the mikeal one

here it is its £80

it can take a lot of weight, mines for a fish tank on it and is plenty wide for 2 or 3 monitors. its a good depth too.
