We all looking forward to this then?

Is there an official release date for it as I'm seeing various release dates - one being in 2009 :(

I enjoyed the others, just got a little sick of the boxed in environment.

I liked the first one and the first expansion but after that it went downhill...
I'm still looking forward to seeing what this one has got after the long wait it's had - the only thing I'm worried about is that I've seen a lot of gameplay videos with you sat in a robot thing - I just hope that don't focus too hard on that sort of thing :p

I played the demo of the first one but the lurching from side to side that happened when you started running was so annoying I didn't comtemplate getting the full version.

You can turn that off in the full game. It's the 'headbob' option that was absent from the demo. Buy it!

You can get the game and the two expansion packs for about £15 now, for the lot.

I haven't got them, may get them when I build this new computer. Seen some videos of F.E.A.R. 2, it looks great, shall be purchasing it.

apparently this one is going to have more varied environments. Instead of the endless rooms which got really rather boring.

From a few videos Ive seen it looks like more of the same. This isn't necessarily a bad thing though as Ive enjoyed the other games.

I never really could get into Fear didnt find it that scary either, i cannot wait for the next Doom installment and Dead Space, im lacking the games which scare me at the moment.

first one was great multiplayer was good at when it was out. hope they have something good in this one. did not play the expansion

I think one of the best action packed FPSs in a long time. Chaotic but I always felt in control with the slow-mo action. The expansion packs were decent but nothing to write home about. I read a few days back that a different company developed them so that may be that's issue there.

I'm hoping for varied environments as well, as while I enjoyed the game and the AI encounters the very dark and lifeless environments can only be so relevant for so long. I love the sub way section on one of the expansions. More of the same there would go along way. I had this feeling the engine was technically lacking when it came to dealing with outside environments but I'm sure they've tried to address this.
