I can’t decide between these two cards, I play at 1680 by 1050 the games I play the most are TF2, GTR Evo, GTR2 and sometimes Grid. Also how much better would either of the cards be against my current 8800GTS 640mb

Asus P5N32-E PLUS SLi nForce
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.5ghz
4GB OCZ PC2-6400C4
Nvidia 8800GTS 640mb

Any help welcome.

The 9800GTX+ actually comes out slightly ahead in most reviews, even with AA, not that it matters as 9800GTX+ is overpriced and not really worth it.

Thanks guys

I do like the 4850 but I’m leaning towards the 9800GTX+ mainly because I like the cooling better and I’ve always liked using Nhancer.

Either way you should be pretty impressed with the performance.

I would try and get one of the big name brands at a good price for the 9800+ like EVGA where you have a great warranty, reliable turn around on RMA's and solid support.

The GTX should O/C fairly well also and the stock cooler is pretty damn quiet to be honest!

Obviously my opinion on the 9800GTX and not the + but not much of a change besides default clocks and manufacturing process :P

Though in all honesty I'd go for the cheaper of the two which in this case is the 4850 by a decent level
