Bored of games, anyone feel the same?

They all seem samey and un-original these days. Can't get that same feeling of playing Farcry for the first time, or the epic set pieces in Half life 2. Even Max payne's bullet time seems a bit 'cheap' these days:(

Yeah, thought spore would be a refreshing change but it turned out to be a bit of a dull grind fest.

Looking forward to FO3 (if it lives up to the past 2), and loved MGS4, wanting more games with a really good storey.
 
I'm arguably bored of certain types of game, but certainly not gaming as a whole. They release games at a faster rate than I can play them, so I can't see that ever happening.
 
I think I'm less bored of gaming at the moment than ever, I have too much to play. I have just finished Spore and at the moment I'm playing through Fallout 1 & 2 from GOG.com, playing through The Witcher now the Enhanced Edition is out, I reinstalled Oblivion "just because" and I recently bought San Andreas on Steam.

I still need to rent The Force Unleashed for Xbox 360, and have yet to play Warhead. I'm looking forward to games like Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Diablo 3, Mirror's Edge and the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 4.

Yeah I was untill yesterday, convinced my friends to get 360's and now got into xbox 360 gaming with my friends and its brilliant, hassle free online playing, achivements, I think my PC will be used a lot less for gaming now.

I was going to get Fallout 3 etc on PC for certain but I will probably get the console version now.

I don't want to turn this into a platform wars thread, but I said the same thing a year ago. Now my 360 gathers dust and I want to get rid of it, and I won't pay a penny for an online community so vulgar as the kids on Xbox Live. The only reasons I've still got it really are Force Unleashed (pretty poor IMHO, rental) and Fable 2. :(
 
It's always been like this really, good games take time.
We have battlefield 3 dawn of war II starcraft II Left4dead coming they will be good and raise the bar once more.

I find RPG's the most boring game type I'm afraid.
i am currently playing Stalker with mods as I left it due to all the bugs never got round to it I suggest you play that if you never did.
 
Indeed i find just browsing the net more entertaining these days.But hopefully games like battlefield 3 will change that.

i find the opposite to be true... I guess im lucky i like most game genres (rpg, fps, rts, tbs, adventure) Specifically i'm re-acquiring a taste for adventure games :D About to start Black Mirror or Dreamfall (not sure i will play that for a while because of the shenanigans over the ending)

As well as games like The Witcher, Fallout 1+2, Supcom

curiously none of em are FPS. Though i still have Prey to play as well.

an overabundance of riches....my cup it runneth over sir! :D
 
there is less games that have that wow gameplay factor. but should be some good ones this winter/autumn. waits for l4d ,fallout3 and cod5
 
Wow. Maybe it's just me, but right now, I just can't enough. So many titles I want to play/replay.

Also unless you normally play every single game that comes, why not step back a bit and play something older? Most games that have come out in the last 2-4 years can still look brilliant, especially with lots AA/AF.
 
Nope, I still love gaming. I just finished Warhead and thought it was great. Also looking forward to Farcry 2, Diablo 3 and Red Alert 3 :)

am i the only one that found this so boring that i destroyed the disk :mad:


games are pretty boring at the moment,but thats always the same when you know that some good new ones are very close at hand.cod4 which has been my staple for last year has now gone for me and the only joy i get from it is nobbtubing people with martydom on for sheer hilarity :D.

bring on cod5 (which i hope is the new uo) that should last me another year and left 4 dead.
