Bought one of these yesterday, as it was cheaper than buying GRID

And oh boy am I impressed!

I originally bought a cheap 9600GT, that had no ram sinks, and a shoddy GPU cooler that looked like it came off an ATI 9600XT

Now, I've got a 100mhz oc on the GPU, and a 130mhz oc on the GDDR.. and the best thing is, it's completely silent. The loudest things in my system are now my hard drives.. I'm running the Accelero passive, and I'm getting idle temps of 34C, and load temps of 44C.

Dunno if it changed much, but I took off the MX2 gunk that came with it, and used my own Noctua thermal paste

£15 on this week only, free delivery, free copy of GRID, and I now have to look at my rig for LEDs to tell if it's powered up or not

And the stock fan is REALLY noisy

My 8800gts gets / got to nearly 90c, but the fan doesnt go over 37% :/
Time to install rivatuner

its a full game although it is just a disc in a sleeve. Who gives a damm about a case though its a free copy of grid !!!!

+1 on the kudos for Arctic. I put one on my 8800GT and it knocked 20C off idle/load temps and is of course completely silent.

Anyone using one on there GTX. My GTX is an XFX and gets pritty hot on stock cooler.

My load temp before I fitted this, according to furmark was 75C. Now I've fitted this and put on a 80mm fan, they've dropped to 48C! wow, pretty good If you ask me...

You have the same 8800GT as me. There is a firmware update from BFG that increase the CPU fan (load only) speed. My temp in my P182 was around 87c, now its 75c or so!
