If you have a 4870 512mb can you crossfire it with a 4870 1gb?
I believe so, but the 1GB card will effectively become a 512MB card, as it needs to match the memory sizes. I'm not positive though.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

thanks for the heads-upAnandtech have confirmed they should have their full review of the 1Gb version in next few days, not sure if its the PCS or not though
looking good. I think i've made my mind up
, but going to wait for OcUk to put theirs on 'this week only' offer again, or for the compeitor to get it in stock. There is a Gigabyte one, but its still quite a bit more than the Powercolor has been.looking good. Yeah see they say its "the card to get" but if you are only playing at 1650x1080 for example there seems to be little to no point!
Clearly if you are playing at the ridiculously high resolutions then the extra ram makes sense but otherwise no. It's the usual 1gb vs 512mb argument as always
Only thing that comes into it is if its only £10 more expensive then why the hell not!
