Best barbs for watercooling loop??

Do you get the barbs with this? If so it looks way better than just barbs and clips.

If so i'l be changing the order i am putting through tomorrow :P

Compression fittings are the devil's spawn. I have some in my Swiftech-kit cooled rig but I hated fitting them and still don't trust them. No reason for that, just bigotry but I'm happier with 7/16" Master-Kleer on 1/2" OD barbs without clips than compression fittings.

Initially I went for 1/2" DTeks with 7/16" Tygon or Mkleer in my previous loop, like everybody else. Now I use 3/8" Feser tubing with a combination of Feser 45 degree compressions and the normal high flow comp. fittings and EK barbs on the rad.

Compressions are pricier but so what as you don't need many; they look good and chance of leakages is cut to a minimum. The 3/8" tubing is easier to work with, makes for much neater routing and does little to hinder flow in my experience.

I've heard the 1/2" compression fittings (I just like the looks of 1/2" tube, and compression fittings look a lot neater than jubilee clips) are too wide for some blocks, as in the in and out barbs are too close together to be able to get them on. Can anyone confirm this?

On my dtek fusion v1 i cant find any type of clip or cable tie or anything so i use 7/16th tubing on them.

I have the Ek Supreme block aswel as 1/2 bards but i haven't got the tubing yet purely because I can't decide on clips, tie wraps etc

I have some little 3 inch long black tie wraps and i recon they'll look neat when you cut the spare off.

7/16ths tubing is fine if you heat the ends and use hi-flow barbs. The tubing will then shrink to fit the barbs when it cools - the only way they are gonna come off is if you cut them off which is a pain. I wouldn't recommend not using jubilees or at least tie wraps for any other barbs type tho.

Here is my 1/2" compression barbs on 7/16 tubing :)

looks sweet and no need for clips.
