Winter approaching

Just curious with the colder part of the year approaching and ambient temps overall lowering rapidly, how many of you will be planning to overclock your rigs a little higher?

I've been able to go from 3.42 to 3.6 with respectable temps now that the height of summer is out of the way :)
 
I am really hoping for 3.8 on water after a bit of upgrading! :D

Edit: Although I really dunno if my P5N32 E SLi Plus will take me there...
 
I will be putting my extreme air in the conservatory as soon as we start to get some nice low ambients.. had a quick mess around last night, rig was sitting at mild 3.6ghz (my 24/7 clock) 7c airtemp with fans at full had 8c idle across the cores and prime small ffts load temps of around 22/23c :)

Really hope we get some cold nights this year... would love to do some runs at sub zero ambients
 
I'm possibly pushing my PSU to the limit as it is right now. I bet if I tryed for some more speed I'd get worken up by *buzzzzzzzzz BANG* :o
 
electricity prices rising i doubt i overclock any higher as i get massive bill already. time to go green me thinks :rolleyes:

Pneumonic, I know you are the Ultimate Air Nutter but load temps of 22/23 for quad at 3.6GHz is simply stunning. :eek:

lol well I just enjoy messing around and building have the rest of my WC stuff turn up tomorrow so will keep me busy for a bit.. once thats up and running and throughly messed with I do have another project in mind..

seriously though if you want to see some nutty cooling and that go and have a look over at XS forums
 
Yeah i know! I was having a ganda last night and they are immense.

I can't find the rig of that guy who got 4.3 on phase though...
 
Autum here in the uk yes, just checking 5 day forcast and it saying for saturday night -3 . Thats october!! not been like that for a good few years now! The credit crunch is not just bringing back the 1970s era but also the weather too!! Back to the Jimmy carter days of two jumpers. Still we maybe able to get some good overclocking done in the cold climate ahead!! DOOM and GLOOM, hehehe:D
