Shopping for a set of 4 - Camskill obviously the cheapest so far but once you've chucked in fitting the price increases, especially as many garages are wise to the internet and charge £900 a tyre fitting to serve people right.

I've never found the book online fully fitted crowd to offer a good price so I've not paid any attention to them - but what are your experiences? Who do you use? Are they really any cheaper? Convenience is not a concern - I just want the lowest price, fitted, for 4 tyres.

Experiences welcome. FWIW I just tried Blackcircles and they came in at £60 more than the cheapest local supplier, waste of time :(

I get trade prices on the local place my Dad uses. Getting F1's fitted this week at £80 a corner

I have a place local to me that is always cheaper that anyone really.

If you want to fit tyres, try Hi-Q, I have used them on our cheaper cars for bits and bobs, and they are generally very cheap.

How much are you quoted fitting wise per tyre?

Fitting seems to be about £15 a tyre which makes Camskill uncompetitive - they are the cheapest supplied but cheapest local guys are coming in within £20, but including fitting. I'd need to get fitting for £5 a tyre to break even and then why bother if its the same price to just drive in drive out?

I use a local place, he beats camskill prices including fitting.
I used another place once, and he only charged £10 per tyre to fit, so that worked out ok anyway.

Last time I got four new tyres I used these guys - http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/ but their price was only really the cheapest when buying four tyres and I have noticed they are no where as competitive for other numbers ie a pair.

Fox, i found my local place by using the find a dealer on the toyo website, although he is a toyo and avon dealer he can get any tyres you want, maybe you have missed one or two or possible locals, see if you find any more, and like i said earlier, this guy beats camskill prices, so ther emust be some guys like this down your area.
