Do you freeze 'Bread'...?

Yes, if you're not intending to have some for a while. You go through bread pretty fast anyway, so why buy so much that you need to freeze some?

No, it's not safe, when you defrost it it will multiply and devour the world like nano-tech grey goo.

Yes it is safe, why wouldn't it be?

My missus does this, I don't see the point!

She'll buy three loaves, and freeze two. But then you always forget that they're in there and go buy a fresh one anyway.

And if you do remember its always when you want a sandwaich/toast/whatever and get it out of the freezer, but then you have to wait a day for the bloody thing to thaw. You can microwave defrost it, but then it doesn't taste right!

Bah!

Usually buy whatever bread is on offer so I often end up freezing a loaf to use the week after.

So, in conclusion, yes it is safe.

If by 'bread' you mean bread, then yes I do.

If you mean money, the popular tv series, your genitalia or any other item that the quote marks could indicate this is a euphemism for, then no.

PK!

if you only want it for toast it's fine, take the frozen slices out and whack them straight in the toaster, most toasters have a "frozen" setting which is just for this purpose. For anything else you have to defrost it, but it doesn't do it any harm, just less convienient

Thirty seconds in a frying pan and the bread is completely defrosted and tastes normal.
