Ok, so my friend wanted a hatch for ~£1000-1500 and seemed to have decided on a Civic. I agreed that it was a good choice. The next day I spot her driving a W-plate Lanos. Which apparently cost £1050. Wtf? was pretty much what I thought...

Can't be worse than a Corsa I guess.

Good lord. I had one from my Mum (It was free and had just had a HGF, she got it repaired and gave it to me) Horrid Cars :(

"It looks nicer than the Civic, is newer, was cheaper and is only being used for short journies..."

I give up. Some people must learn the hard way I guess. :p

Some people just don't have a clue when it comes to cars, I mean general population will buy a car because "it was a cheap runabout" or "it looked good" or "I like the colour"
hardly surprising is it.

Phat.

Women eh!

The ex went with a 'mechanic' to find a car after writting hers off (by sneezing, can you believe that?)

I reccomended a fiesta, she didn't want one as no power steering.

So she went and got a 95 Ford Escort, in faded red with no stereo. But it was an awesome buy because it was owned by on old women and only 60k miles - woop! :) Yeah great, by the way your escort has no power steering and a crappy 1.3 engine!

I woman I work with asked one of our site staff to change a wheel for her. When they asked her what sort of car it was the only information she could give was that it was blue.

She drives a Daewoo.

And another one, my mum is eligible for motability (a free car from the government), she wanted a base spec Focus instead of a Zetec because she didn't like the chrome strip on the grill. Luckily she got my dad to do the paper work, and he did the right thing.
