Cement.

I used to have a mohawk got to about 10" long, used to keep it up with an indecent amount of dax wax and hair spray, also tried using eggs and sugar, sugar water, soap, many many things, best way was dax, but wasnt great in the heat, but that was a few years ago now, im sure there is better stuff around now.

<- that was mine but not at its biggest height, best pic i can find atm

back in the day i used a spray can of starch meant for shirt collars.it had a lemmon scent that wasps seemed to like if i remember right.now i have a 4 inch parting and cannot do a lot with my hair...

the stuff off the tv adverts that never moves even when guy on rollerblades handplants his head ?

Loreal Indestructible? It's crap, so is Fudge.

I've yet to find a gel or wax that stays hard enough. Gonna try Matrix Dirty Trix next.. or maybe Brylcreem wax, but try heating it up before applying.

When I decide to do my hair, I use shockwaves and it's surprisingly long-lasting.

You look like a cornflake box model on that pic! :p

I used to have a mohawk.
I used a few things at different times, I started with soap which was enough for a short mohawk. Then I soaked the hawk with hairspray and used a hairdryer to dry it, which didn't hold it after it hit the 10" mark.woodglue which was okay but it looked a bit shiny for me and maintenance was horrible, I then resorted to strong gelatin (jelly stuff mixed with water, then use a hairdryer, solid as a rock) which turned my hair so hard you could have probably snapped it.

Red tin Dax Wax ("Dax Wave and Groom") is the daddy. I rock a mawk 2-3 times a year (I get bored easily. Have my head, grow it out, mawk from 3-6" then shave again...) and it always works...Hell, in high school I'd use it to keep 12" spikes up all over my head.

As an added bonus, you can annoy your girlfriend by growing a moustache and waxing it so you look like a silent movie film.

And it smells awesome.

I always found red Dax to be pants :/

I have to agree, it smells delicious like marzipan though :p

Indeed, there's no way this stuff could hold up a mohawk, it can't even keep my relatively short hair in place.

The best stuff I've found so far is Joico Spiker.

theres a gel called Got2be Glued and its freakin strong!, its actually like pva in a tube. Its a white pastey texture. Its good stuff!

I use that, but after a certain length even that doesn't do my hair just kind of droops :(

ATM straightening + wax keeps mine up and its at the lenght now i really need to get it cut but stays up for days if i straighten it :D
