I don't have a problem with US people snatching EU keys, or vice versa because ultimately it means *someone* gets a key. I do have a problem with people selfishly applying for additional keys when they're already part of a very small minority of lucky individuals who already have one. Doesn't matter whether it's me that's being deprived of one or someone else, as I said - it's the principal.

Unfortunately whilst I do my best not to get angry about things like this (and Wii gouging, etc) it just depresses me that people can be so mercenary sometimes. I've said my peace now. :p

My post may have come across a bit rude tbh. I thought I stated quite clearly why I wanted the USA beta (to try and make my levels still exist in the live LBP). Wasn't arguing semantics, just saying if you talk about depriving people of codes, EU people had their chance last week so they are depriving USA people. Sounds like wishy washy principles/double standards to me tbh. Allocations are there for a reason, doesn't matter how you bend them.

You don't seem to mind if people are giving away keys I assume (which you question I will do, even though I gave away a spare key I had, fairly, several pages ago).

Anyway not worth getting angry or depressed over. I have said my peace now as well :)

Hadn't even heard of gamepro before today tbh (didn't enter their competition). Is it even a big site? This might just be normal for them to be this rubbish :) (I am being cynical as previously unknown to me sites are giving away codes for an in demand product and requiring you to register your detaisl with them, in some shape or form :) )

How do you enter without logging in? I go to this page and when I click to Enter (which goes to this page) I just get taken to a splash screen which says I have to log in or register to do the contest, and at the bottom it says "You must be a registered GamePro.com user to enter the LittleBigPlanet beta giveaway. New users can register for free here."

Seems they changed it back again. At one point you went to the page and where it says you need to sign in there was simply a box for your name and email address.
 
The site I pre-ordered my Retail copy from is giving away a free 3 inch sackboy plastic figurine (if you are into that kind of thing) with all pre-orders. Was 36.99 on pre-order previously when I ordered it and is still same price now the free figurine is with it.

Just a heads up for people who collect these things.

I got a USA code. I did want to try it out on my USA account tbh (now I think about it, I don't care that much if my level is not transferred to live servers, compared to some other levels I saw tonight, it's not that great tbh) but seeing as you were first to offer me the downloadable SackBoy code in return. I will trade it for that, if it is still OK. Make sure you have a USA account and message me tomorrow, if you already got a LBP code, let me know and I'll give it away some other way, probably ;)

(naysayers take note: That is 2 LBP codes rp2000 has given away :p)

I got my email away to 1up with a pretty detailed level design overview, and haven't heard back yet :(

If you do get one from gamepro, i beg of you!

Been sitting on all the usual sites for a week now and still nothing back from countless entries

I got one from 1UP :)

Anyone know if that's US only? I can't check the actually message because 1UP is blocked at work but my email says Congrats etc.

If I get any others I will pass them on :)
 
Looking back I can understand why rp2000 would want a US code, I sketched out the level I want to do, have almost made all the creatures I want to put into it but am now a bit wary about starting the level proper, considering how long it has taken me to get the monsters right it will take me a considerable time on top of that to build the level and knowing it will all be wiped out is disheartening.

Tangent: I hope people aren't opening up OPMs and taking the Kratos codes.
 
My email says 2:31am. I've got a US account signed up online but not sure if it will work on my PS3, does it conflict with my UK account (I've only had my PS3 for 2 weeks and not used it much).

All I can read is: Little Big Planet BETA Code!

and the rest is blocked :P I did check at home this morning and it was in the pm box but I didn't read it as I was late for work.

If its from 1up you get your code from your page on the 1up website to get the code. The code has to redeemed from your US PSN.
 
So is the game any good?

Still quite happy to wait for the full release but I'm interested to know whether the game is worth all the hype?
