Which GPU for dedicated Physx?

Ok, so I have a 8800GT and want to pop in a cheap Nvidia card to do all the Phsyx work in a multi-gpu set up (and the 8800GT will do the game). I can't find any reviews that compare how different cards handle physx when paired with the same more powerful card.

So what is the worst card I could get away with just for doing physx?

I have been looking at the 9500GT 256mb as it has a silent cooling solution.

9500GT will do ok - but be limited long term if any games actually made proper use of the physx capabilities - but with this generation of games and hardware the 8800GT can probably do the physics fine without any real performance impact as well as doing the rendering.

I would just run it off of your 8800gt. I decided to test haveing a dedicated card a few months back and it wasnt worth it. When i set my 8600gts to do physx i got arround P8000 in vantage. When it put physx on the ultra i got arround P9000. Physx isnt used in many games yet and if you do happen to play a game with it on your 8800gt will cope :)

Problem is that vanatge tests them separately in which case the ultra will always do better. What happens when you have both physx and a graphically intensive scene?

This is a total waste of money. Unless you are doing GPGPU development, don't waste cash on an extra card.
