Antec Trupower 650 enough for this?

Currently on E2180 and a Radeon 4850, with 1 optical and 2 hard drives, but would it be enough if I upgraded to a Q6600?

Easilly. More than likely with 350W or so to spare too.

I run rig in my sig with 2x optical drives and 2 x HDD off a 580w, so 650w should be more than enough

the TP3-650 lacks the modular cables but it is powerful and is certified to run most dual graphics cards setups. Unless you plan to run two 8800 GTXs in SLI then it will not work lol but for you it is all good

Your PSU is overkill for your system and still got some spare juice in reserve.

i got the exact same psu and i run 1 x 4870, 2 x hdd, 6 x fans, 1 dvd

and i just blown either psu, mobo or g card

waiting to see which 1

It seems the Antec Trupower 650 is crap its also price the same with the Zalman ZM600-HP Heatpipe.I'll pick the zalman everytime.If your Antec Trupower is a couple yrs. old or already out of warranty it would be best if you peek inside the psu and look for bulging caps as this is common for psu also caps can fail without showing visual indication so its best to just recap it.

TruePower Trio is Seasonic made and doesn't use Fuhjyyu time bombs.
While that Zalman is made by FSP whose "high end" hasn't been really convincing.
(most Epsilon based PSUs have high ripple, for reason or another those Zalmans haven't shown that behaviour)

Zalman is based on FSP design with improvement from zalman and according to this review this PSU has a very minimal ripple much better than the FSP.I bet its much better than the TruePower just read the review.
