How much do you spend on food shopping per week

You forgot the third reply of recent threads, where you seem to tell people what types of people will reply to said thread..

Its because these GD threads all go the same way, people posting extremes which are obviously nonsense. This thread seems to have broken that trend to some extent which is refreshing.

thing is my brother back home in arbroath tells me that his bill via a pay meter is roughly £30-40 per month! yikes!

£20 a week here on cardKey. Between 4 uni students all with computers. Its Crazy!

Still works out cheaper than staying in uni halls :D

Food wise I spend about 25 . :)

Recentlt I seem to have crept up to ~£70/week, just for me and I think that is to much. Need to cut back in some areas as it used to be less than half that ...

£400-£500 per month including supermarket and smaller shops every few days for the two of us and a 5 and 2 year old.

What is this privilege card you speak of, I fancy some of that.

Last night I picked up a few things and when I got to the till it came to exactly £13.13. Spooky, if you believe in that kind of thing.

PK!

We just spent £45.00 yesterday on our weekly shopping at Sainsbury's - though you could subtract £10.00 off that for the case of beer :p

That is pretty much our average weekly shopping bill for the two of us.

As has been said before it does make sense to make a list of meals for the week as it leads to less waste. We eat fairly healthy and perhaps once a fortnight get a takeaway in :)

We don't have a budget, and can spend from £16 to £50 at the supermarket! However we do eat out often during the week too so when you factor that in it becomes higher. That's just the two of us. And the cat.

£70/week on shopping. We're a bit sad, got everything worked out and budgeted in an excel spreadsheet.

About £65 a week just for myself. (Asda)

Maybe a bit more if I treat myself to fillet steak, but that comes from the Butchers.

When i was living by myself about 3 years ago (so i guess price rises would need to be taken in to account) about £25 a week.

Now as a family of 3 about £60 a week i would say and then occasionaly the odd takeaway that probably is close to £15, but i would say eating out on a weekend days out is the big cost, easily £20 - 30 a go.

went to ASDA last night and spent £160, that does me + partner for the month plus £10 a week on fresh fruit/veg. So £200 a month. As for gas/electric direct debit is £59 a month for duel fuel with E-On. Got a letter last week to inform of a price rise though. But they don't mention how much it's going up just the new rate and no mention of the old rate. Sly French gits

We go throught the Fridge, Freezer & Cupboards to see what we have left.

We then draw up a list of meals for the week including whats left. I hate waste!!

We carry on the list with ingredients needed for the dinners plus other bits for lunches and snacks. Plenty of veggies are added as I always try to include them everyday with meals.

I then draw £60 out of the bank. Reason being is that I spend up to £60 and not more if it was on the card.

I walk in trusty Morrisons with trolley, calculator & £60 in pocket and shop away adding up everything that goes in the trolley. Once the list has been done, if there is anything left over, I add little treats.

Every now and then I may have to buy some more veggies in the week so all in all for 3 of us, we spend around £60-£70 max. That includes all washing & cleaning products. I tend to keep the spray nozzles and buy a large bottle of Dettol Antibacterial to dilute in the bottles for wiping down worktops etc....
