My 'middle bit' rusted and broke before the joint with the rear silencer.

Garage down the road is offering it + fitting for £30.


Will they try and say anything else will need replacing (connections, silencer, Cat Converter), or is that it?
 
I don't see why they would suggest replacing the other parts of the exhaust if it's just the mid-pipe that's broken.
 
Well they might, and I don't want to be refusing for something when I don't actually know anything about exhaust systems :p but cheers :)
 
Depends on how cowboyesque they are, but they should only do the pipe and charge for the pipe and fitting it (and maybe fitments if some are doggy).

Depends on the state of the joint onto the pipe needing replaced. If its to badly corroded they wont spend the time trying to save it and will tell you that you require the other section as well.

Also clamps and rubbers may be charged for if required.

Edit: ignore that, they already looked at it which I missed first time. If they quoted you that price that's what you should pay.
