Company of Heroes on Steam

I have just purchased CoH from Steam, and am experiencing multiple problems.

Firstly, whenever I launch the game it 'verifies media', and is put in to windowed mode. This would not be a huge problem, but I cannot get it back to full screen and mouse scrolling in game doesnt work while in windowed mode which makes the entire game near on unplayable for me.

Secondly, I can't seem to register for relic online. The option is greyed out. How am I meant to register?

Thirdly, 'Register with THQ' does nothing. It takes me to Steam's page with a link to some terrible THQ Tech Support FAQ.

Are there any known fixes for these issues?

Valve should never have let this happen to the Steam version of the game. It's a pathetic set up.

Anyway, the game always starts in window mode at first launch for me, too. But once I've set the resolution correctly, it starts full-screen from then on.

When you start the game up you should have a button on the Relic account screen saying "Create Account". Can you see that?

EDIT: NM, fixed resolution problem now.

But the 'create account' button is still very much greyed out
