*** Official Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Thread***

^^Says it all really.

I have a dozen or so characters all around 10 to 15, all levelled on nothing but RvR scenarios and the odd PQ in between (not that I have 2 wait long between scenarios really).

Totally love the game, and there is nothing funnier than seeing caster try and stay in melee combat with a tank... I swear some people really do assume this is WoW mk 2.

That depends on if it's an archmage with a mastery in healing.. *crack*heal*crack*heal*crack*heal* ...

However they need to get the spells off initially. If you can start close range without being noticed on the run up then yes the melee will win.

Half the fun is being nuked for 600+ a pop by higher level sorcerers :D

I personally think both the ranged healers need a touch of a nerf, but then if they are healing themselves they not healing the group, I am quite happy for a healer to be the last to drop dead.

The mastery for healing actually does this already. There's a mastery at 3 points that makes it more efficient at healing others but on the flipside less efficient (25% IIRC) to heal yourself. Hence the self healing takes more.

However being public enemy number one in RvR means that if archmages with mastery in healing would spend their time just healing themselves and not have any time to heal anyone else so they need to be able to heal enough to give that space.

There's also another point that limits healers - action points. Only the big once-a-minute morale (ie use a morale debuff if your attacking healers) heal doesn't take action points.

If attacking any class that's abilities require action points I'll use the action point debuff that steals them and does some damage too. However this isn't in my mastery path so for me this will drop behind in terms of efficiency as the character levels.

The detaunt debuff is good with it's 50% less damage and agro reducer. In RvR the tanks usually run away (I assume they read 50% less damage in the buff description). What they don't know is that the spell only lasts 30 seconds IF you don't cast any other spell.. if you cast it instantly drops.

If you use an attacking spell on that target it drops. I often debuff tanks then run around healing myself and throwing out insta dots on others with my zealot.

Was there any reason you guys rolled there and not Karak Azgal like everyone else? :p

I was actually going to roll up a char on Eight Peaks last night but it was full :(

Was 2 communities running before launch, one went to 8 peaks and the other azgal, the guild I was in went to 8 peaks, I stayed with them a week and decided to form my own guild, with friends etc.

8 peaks had the bigger community with better known guilds.

We have a bunch of players from this forum now and are 42 people strong, formed on 20th September so not too bad.

What an absolute load of bull. Just went to play, server list comes up, pick mine.. and nothing. More downtime on Eltharion than playtime, getting sick of it now.

If im not waiting for the school kids to go to bed then im waiting for some other crap on their servers

I am getting a strange crash to a black screen which results in me needing to reboot my PC. This only seems to happen in RvR though, anybody else getting a crash to black screen?

This happens sometimes, there aren't solutions at the moment really. Just wait apparently they are going to patch this week or next week maybe hope it will improve

if anyone playing order on karak-hirn needs a guild send "snoop" mail ingame.

me and a few friends are trying to get a guild running, we already have forums hosted on our own webspace and the guy who owns the forums just bought a 50man vent server.

seems almost impossible to recruit people ingame

PvP in this game is fun though so that helps, not seen anything like a one shot kill yet or that silly rogue move of stun the whole fight.

The PvP isn't better, the combat system is simply not as fun as World of Warcrafts. (I had Warhammer Online for about a week)

You can level by PvP which is great, but sorry the combat system is just annoying, it's clunky and the 'queue' like system for your abilities sucks.

Edit: For all the people who say WoW PvP isn't skilful btw, go watch some decent Arena movies.

Sounds good, I actually went to roll a character up on 8 Peaks last night but it was queuing worse than Azgal so I just gave up even trying to play.

Like Arena is great pvp!

Personally I'd much rather be facing 50+ people in a keep siege than some druid hiding behind a pillar healing his mate.

Well I think it is anyway and WoW will be getting its own large scale battles in Lich King I believe.

Either way I don't really care to be honest, the combat system makes or break it either way and WoW is definitely superior when it comes to that.

It's the only MMORPG I've stuck with because the combat is fun, other MMO's just feel stiff in comparison (like Warhammer)

He's trolling again, doing it in the spellborn thread too. Chronic lack of attention or something I suppose.
