My new weight-loss diary. (Now with pics!)

were gonna need a pic of u sideways to the camera thumb up with your old pants on holding the waste out.

well done for sticking at it and getting results

I was 126 about 2 and a half weeks ago but with joining a local gym on doctors recommendation ive droped to 122 last time i checked last week i beleive. Not much but still its a start. Im trying so hard to eat healthily as well and so far the food isnt too bad and i enjoy the gym as my sister comes with me for support as she wanted to go to a gym herself anyway to feel fitter cos she has 2 kids so wants that bit of a boost to be with them more at the park etc.

The gym was hard at first but gradually getting better i.e not sweating as much and not needing to drink water every 5 mins lol and my legs dont hurt as much so i must be getting fitter i think. But really that first day was uber hard my legs felt like jelly and could barely walk but now im ok when the session is over i even walked back to my sisters after the gym on wednesday and thats something i wouldnt have ever wanted and i even had a buspass lol. I do have depression and anxiety and agrophobia but there all getting better ever so slowy with the medication im on so it makes going to the gym and out and about more bareable and possible.

I have started with tuna chunks to replace steak which is actually rather nice and does taste like soft steak which is yum lol. I do still eat pickled onions but far less frequent. I dont have pizza anymore i dont drink beers much anymore just the odd 1 maybe when i go over my brothers. I have cut bread out. I have started eating pasta and spag bol more tho but its healthy enough i think as long as its not a very large amount like what i used to have. Cut out the rice and curry too. The worst thing tho is no more pot noodle things from netto them 29p ones that tasted delish. But with them being about 300 ish cals per pot and i used to like a few pots a day it has to be done unfortunatly.

Im burning about 550cals per mon wed and fri and i generally eat 1000 cals or less a day.

Im 6ft and a half and i think my bmi was 41 i think.

So good for you with ** way of losing weight and hope u get to a nice size. I hope i do too. Wonder how long its gona take tho.

I think encourage levels of that kind of calorie restriction is wrong and unhealthy.

I'm with this. I mean, 6 pounds per week? I would be worried that that was too much. Still, as long as you're being monitored and your doctors thinks it's ok you shouldn't end up looking like a melted Grimace after a couple of months.

I look fine, I feel fine :p

I'm not worried, so neither should you guys be :)

yes i will be ignorant and will not read anything , and if u did lost some weight and u are not obese anymore congrats

Congratulations on the weight loss but that much that quickly is likely to leave you with excess skin to deal with afterwards :(. I would slow it down a little bit myself, when I lost weight I was doing 2-3 pounds a week and even that was a bit quick :P.

Awesome, I've got a similar sort of thing going on myself!

but I've not blogged about it, Sounds like a good plan!

My Lifestyle change is more of a Skinny with flabby bits and generally out of shape lifestyle, To in shape, Muscles where i want them and toned sort of style.

My plan covers Meals, Excercise and all general lifestyle habbits. Including personal hygiene.

My main bits of advice to you, Which are something I've started doing:

1. Drive/Bus less. Even if it's getting off the bus a stop early, or parking your car further away from your work than usual.

2. Cook all your meals from scratch, Because first and foremost it's obviously more healthy for you, but also it adds a new string to your bow.

I would say I am now an above average cook, I can make more or less anything I put my mind to now, where as a few months ago I was just a cereal or Frozen meal kinda guy.

Awesome job though fella, The profile photos are a great Idea, I've done a few of myself too, And i've got all my measurements written down. So i can check my progress.

Good luck DailyGeek, although it sounds like you don't need any luck. You already have made massive gains (Or should that be loss) and im looking forward to seeing the pictures. Keep going. :)

are you noticeably feeling more tired at all dailygeek ?

congrats with this so far though. keep up the good work!

More energetic actually. The first week was hard but since I went into ketosis, i've found it easier to get up in the mornings, generally more awake and my skin is about a million times clearer than before too.

Not sweating as much means that your body isnt working as hard, meaning you are being as effective as you could be. Up the pace and get back into that zone :p

No :p
Its hard, regardless of weight, for anyone when they have done no exercise in a while. After a couple of weeks everyone gets into it though. People just need to remember its intensity that matters, not the actual speed that you are going or weight you are lifting :D
