That is bloody stupid if they've removed it, especially as FIFA's auto squad number generator is awful... It doesn't even take free numbers, just the first signing gets 2, the second gets 3 etc...

Then whomever was 2 get's the first free number, whoever was 3 gets the free number again.

I'll be mighty peeved if it's not in :(

That is a stupid way of doing it! No wonder people are annoyed!

I know :-/

In the last few years (06/07/08 for examples) with united I used to sell people like Saha and Ji-Sun Park, sign someone like Diego or Van Der Vaart...

Diego would end up number 2. So Gary Neville (was 2) would be number the free number 9 (Saha's number)
Van Der Vaart would be 3, and Evra (was 3) would now be 13 (Jin Sun Park).

If they've taken out the option to pick your own numbers, and are still using that system... I can see why so many people are getting pee'd off at that :(
 
I'm waiting on mine from the game store, email said it had been sent special delivery, so hoping it arrives before whatever time they are supposed to deliver by.

Oh, so it's always been a problem? I thought it was something they had REMOVED, rather than not add this year.

I have never played Manager Mode so not been exposed to its stupidness! I may well give MM a go this year though :)

The number problem has always been there yes, a new signing goes 2, next 3 etc...

However you have been able to change the player numbers in previous years. So if your signing gets given a stupid number, you could set it back to be correct.
 
Mine's at home, i'm at work. Annoying to say the least.

I have "booked" the night off with the mrs tomorrow. Fortunately I was able to seek approval giving 5 working days notice. Great!
 
am i the only person who got sent a PS3 version instead of a 360 version?
