Since so many people here are good at photography, I thought I'd start this thread for all your best pictures.

Don't hold back!!

Even if you've posted it elsewhere on these forums, slap it in here and lets all be showered in the warm fuzzy feeling you get when you see a truly outstanding photo!

I'll kick things off with this. It was taken at Hatch Pond in the New Forest at about 11pm.

I love the simplicity of it and the fact that for once I've taken a shot thats not soft round the edges!!

Taken one afternoon in February this year. kept driving past this spot and then one day the light, tide and weather were just right.

It's the content more than the shot and I take no credit for that:

I took this with a D40 and a Sigma 105mm. No tripod used, both camera and dandelion held in different hands. Also, the lens is manual focus only (on the D40), so had to sway backwards and forwards. I also had to blow on the dandelion to allow the little fella to lift off. So lots of juggling, but very pleased with the end product.

It was a rare occassion that I did not deviate away from what I had saw in my head.

:)

I'd say its impossible for me to choose a fave, but I picked this one simply because most people like it, and its a refreshing change from long lens shot.

One of those moments where everything falls into place correctly, and what you've visualised happens right infront of you.

My photo

Most macro shots are insects, flowers or water drops. This shot combines all three elements into one :)

Messiah, that photo is truely stunning. Definitely worth getting printed and framed.

Great thread and some amazing photos, people. Looking forward to seeing more. :)

Some really superb photos in here. Pretty tough choosing a single 'best' photograph but i've always loved this one.
