Would still be hand if people included it; I view this thread at work and I'd like to know the details when I first see the pics instead of waiting until I get home.

Yeah I do the same. I've started 'saving picture as' and then right clicking, properties, summary, advanced.

Anyway, just installed that panda thing. cheers for the link! :)

I love looking at some of these brilliant photos.

I'm currently saving my pennies to get myself an slr camera from the Canon range and I intend to go on a photography course at my local college to learn how to use it! I should really know heaps about photography as my dad has been an enthusiast for years. He doesn't make a living out of it but I know that he has had a lot of his work published in magazines etc. Will have to get my hands on some of his pics to see what you guys think.

Here are my 2 favourite shots. Taken on a compact Sony DSC-W130.

the light house one is nice. It would have looked even better if you'd applied the rule of thirds, but you'll get to that.... :)

Rule of thirds! I'm intrigued, can you explain that to me?

Doesn't matter now, I've just read up about this on Wiki.

True, I prefer to just read it underneath the photo too, just pointing out its not just FF that has exif readers.:p

I'm not sure if these are technically my best, but they're the ones that I linger on longest when I'm looking through my collection.

That i suppose is the one that gets the most comments from my work :)

That's awesome! I've always wondered with sports photography (and this is probably going to sound like a foolish question): do you just set up your camera and hope that you manage to click at the right time, or do you simply set a timer and let it take a picture every few seconds?

lol are you serious?

'manage to click at the right time'? A modern digital SLR isn't like a compact where it takes a good second and half for the shutter to open, it happens practically instantaneously when you press the shutter release. so no, you don't just hope you get the right shot, you use the viewfinder and compose the shot you want and fire when the shot is right :)

O_o that question is almost offending :p It's not a case of hope or luck it's a case of skill and practice :p i dont even use the burst mode, it's a matter of pre-empting and timing :)

Tom.
