anyone know of a torrent for this? I dotn fancy downloading 1.9GB on my current poo connection, would mean leaving my PC on for days!
 
Just started downloading it a few mins ago and Avast has dectected a virus in it, will post again when i get more details
 
It's the FPS Area 51 game by Midway from 2005. Strange that there's a virus in there, filefront aren't exactly some obscure site. I'm guessing they must've snucked in some spyware in there or something.

That is the plot of the game... a virus is unleashed on area 51. Not that the game has a virus.

Win32:JunkPoly [Cryp] although after looking around a few forums it looks like its something to do with the in-game ads, probably a false positive, looking into it now
 
lol of course it's a false positive... goodness grief people. :p

Seems like a reasonable game judging from reviews... may give it a try. :)

Yes, silly me, my AV found a suspected virus and i thought id share this infomation with you, oh what a fool am i, i'll go stand in the naughty corner and smack my bum for the next 20mins......:p
 
Amazed its now free. Spent £30 on it back in the day so nice kick in the teeth to know that I should have just waited a few years.

Game is actually quite good. Just an old school run and shoot FPS with some Stan Winston Studio designed monsters, David Duchovny, Powers Boothe & Marilyn Manson (as an alien so not acting required from him!!) providing the voiceovers.

Game also has Starforce (the type which puts system level drivers on your PC) so wonder how they removed that from it!!

They should have made Blacksite:Area 51 free instead!!

AVast gives me false positives all the time, although I haven't found out how to bypass it yet. NOD for the win :/
