A few pictures taken at Lake Nakuru in Kenya. We spent 2 days here to see the thousands of flamingos which nest all year around. A meca for twitchers i'd imagine.

Goddamn, I wish I had had the 100-400L at Lake Nakuru, brilliant shots! My flamingo shots were rubbish! Got some fantastic shots otherwise though. Will definitely have to go back with a flashy lens. Glad to see how well that lens does on the 400D, I'll not bother upgrading my body until I've got a lovely collection of glass.

Mmmm looks like you had quite a safari! I particularly like this one:

Looks like he's Lord of the manner surveying his territory :)

That's exactly my thoughts, invest in the glass and then update the body when my I have outgrown my current one. The 40D's better handing of noise at 1600 ISO would be one thing for example.

I went camping in that national park :p

Did you get any photos of the giraffes?

You lucky man! It was so full of wildlife, I coud have spent 3-4 days to really make the most of it. Let me look for some giraffe pictures...

I agree, absolutely majestic animal. I wish i'd be fortunate enough to capture him in flight.
