"Took these photos at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, WI on Sunday. Some guys rolled in with these GT-R's with Dealer plates and decided to drag them over and over and over. Interested differences in trap speeds and 1/4 mile times though. Definately not pro's as they had to be reminded over and over to wear a helmet."

see link for pics etc

what a couple of tools

Have you read the FULL thread and followed the link to another forum where the OWNER of BOTH cars turns up to explain all?

I did see the link to the other thread but couldnt be bothered reading the 16 pages. Does he have a valid explanation?

Yes, he owns both and they're not going to be sold as new so he's perfectly entitled to do whatever he wants with them.

oh well, that makes it a lot more boring. I still wouldn't want a second hand GTR that had been dragged from new.

With the seats still wrapped in plastic from the factory... I bet he still sells them as "new". Whoever buys them will still be owner #1 on the log book as dealers don't get recorded (or at least they don't in the UK!)

the person who will buy one of those will be not happy :) if he knows about it.

with right settings on a car and good driver it can do 3.3 sec from 0~60

that is the problem with buying any second hand or even i guess in this case "ex-demo" cars with "delivery" milage, you never know whats happened to it in the past....

We took out a Auris for a test drive (for the misses). We got the work experience son of a sales person taking us out "for insurance purposes" who was telling us all sorts of stories the sales guys wouldn't..... Apparently once they had one of the new supercharged Corollas in so on a quiet sunday evening they decided to do timed laps of the business estate. All went well till one of the mechanics overcooked it on a corner and went straight into the metal barrier... que one "written off" car which supposedly got put back on the road as an Ex Demo car :o

Have you ever been to a port and seen new cars being 'unloaded' from their ship? Lets just say they are driven very enthusiastically!

Which is why the likes of BMW, Porsche and others now put engine management restrictions on some of their cars to prevent idiots revving them off the clock during shipping and when cold.
