Just got answer from Swiftech - they have a new brackets for their block MCW60 for GTX280 and will start sell them next week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YEEEEAAAA!!!!

So question is: what would work better for cooling ram on GTX280 - Swiftech heatsink 8800 kit or that new heatsink from D-tek.

Is the hole in Dtek heatsink big enought to work with Swiftech block?

I have to say, that's a really nice block on a great card. I'm guessing that makes the RAM and VRM's passive for cooling? I nice slow 120mm over that will show up great temps! :D

I dunno about the 280 but on the 260-216 if you can keep em under 55C the sky is the limit you don't even need to volt mod them to hit 775+ stable infact volt modding them seems counter productive as they respond better to temps than voltage.

Looking for a good way to keep my 260 as cool as possible atm.

never been keen on full cover blocks becuse of the high cost to use ratio , so the mcw60 ive been using on my x1900xt , 8800 ultra , and so it s nice to know that i can get a gtx 280 and be able to W/C it easy and cheaply as well with replacement brackets like this .

Thanks to that I think you've help make up my mind on what waterblock to get for my GPU.

That looks amazing. :D

Now I only need a 280GTX :'(

I really hope that is far cheaper than the D-Tek pair, that can set you over 90 euro at most places :/

I could get a Nickel Ek full cover block for that and have cash left over :/

After seeing the problems wja76 had with swiftech I don't think I'll ever be purchasing anything from them

Ah come now, the GTX was a flop sure, but all their products are usually very good.

The only reason I'd get their gpu block is because it fits a lot of gpu's.
Where full cover blocks only fit the one.
