just been out and bought a new chair payed over a hundred for it the best chair we have ever had well worth every penny as we sit here a lot :D

yes they are very comfortable, but also very expensive. i just bought a herman miller celle chair as I thought seeing as I spend most of my time at my desk, I should really have a decent chair so I don't get back issues etc - my posture is quite bad.

I keep hearing people raving on about the Aeron, are they really that comfortable?

Andy
The Mirra is the newer, better and in-fact less expensive chair from HM. The Aeron lives on because the name has such a big mindshare.

It's clearly all about this bad boy lazy chair:

Do any nationwide shops stock Aerons, i'd quite like to sit in one to see what the fuss is about.

Meh, we have a load of Aerons at work and they're really not that special.
They're pretty damn adjustable, but that's about it - not worth the money IMO.

I got the big loop from stapes, so comfy but at just over 9 months now the leather on the arm has gone hard and actually cracked and a bit came off, 12 month warranty though so they are arranging a replacement :D

I managed to get a chair from staples for £80 when it was listed on the site as £180. I just typed the model number into google and it came up with the chair for £80, don't know if it was a special offer or not but the chair was listed on the site as £180 and i couldn't find the offer via the site.

I got a £50 leather faced chair from argos and the leg snapped clean off, so purely for safety reasons I would say avoid!

Yea avoid Argos like the plague for chairs. I paid £70 for one ages ago and the arms began to peel after a couple of weeks. The cushion flattened and you could feel the hard plastic underneath. Then to top it off i leant over the arm to grab a pen i just dropped and the arm snapped .
