Haha i noticed a few guys rank 20-30 doing some Public quests with us - not sure what its about either.

I switched from a Zealot to a Shaman and I think i prefer the difference in style with the Shaman ! Even though they are the same archetype I was suprised n please to see that they are quite different in their abilities!


my 1 gripe with this game is that i'm having performance issues.

My rig is:
AMD X2 5000 BE @ 3.1Ghz
ATI 4850 512mb (his iceq)
MSI 790FX Mobo
4Gb Ram


I'm getting some serious stuttering / fps lag . Note i'm using 16AF and 2x AA - also got GFX settings on 'Balanced'

I'd really like to know if other people are having these issues? My PC is quite a high spec and i wasn't expecting to have any problems running WHO on it.

Any ideas or opinions would be appreciated!

For you to be "ganked" by a level 21 in tier1 surely you must be on an open rvr ruleset server :/
 
Ahhh my performance problems may be to do with me having installed it on my :/C (old xp - IDE) hard drive!! Reinstalling now on my main SATA OS drive and hopefully things will be feeling a little smoother.

And what is the ruleset? core or open.

because a level 21 in tier 1 on a core server will turn into a chicken,

If you are playing on an open ruleset then by design you accepted the fact that high levels could roam around in lower tiers and smack the living snot out of you :o.
 
I clicked the name of the server that a guy i know clicked. I dont pay attention to rule sets.

Regardless of wether it's allowed or not, it's biblically gay.

im sure, or rather hope what was said was not intended to slander your guild, as clearly you are doing well, and was thinking of enlisting my order toon on your server into your guild, for when its impossible to get onto azgal without queing for 2hrs

To true from experience but so sweet when you manage to turn the tables around and get the odd victory, nice XP and taunting rights while it lasted:D but would be not be my cup of tea to go and gank far to lower levels though, not the right frame of mind for destruction though is it:p

ok! As promised earlier I said I would give WAR another run (well I did pay £32 on D2D after all).

So it turns out that the High Elf starting area is Biblically gay. Bad graphics, bad area, bad quest layout. The actually character for the High Elves are also biblically gay, they did not spend enough time or use enough polys.

However! I started a Orc (WAAAAAARGGGHHH!!) and this is much MUCH better. You can clearly see that the devs really enjoyed themselves making the Orc characters and area. Was actually enjoying myself last night and only reached Rank 3.
 
I'm off to buy WAR, last time I played this type of mmo was ultima online and I hated it. After playing eve for a while its time for a new game.
