Anyone recommend Ipod speakers?

Can't imagine that would fall over, it's a good base and it looks as though it takes a standard dock adapter so you should be good with the nano. No idea what it sounds like but the base appears solid enough.

I personally think your best bet is to get a stand of some description and a set of Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 Speakers.

Use the 3.5mm jack into the AEA's and you're flying. I'm constantly impressed by these 2.1 speakers and because they have a separate sub you can be sure they do the bass very well.

It has 3 settings and even on the lowest setting it still produces good low-end tone.
