I'm really really sorry, please don't laugh.

Dunno if i'd give them anything really. If they lie about the condition of the car i'm not going to pay for it. It's like saying the car has slight damage to the drivers side, but when you see it the door is wedged shut because the sill & floor is buckled, you don't buy it.

You mean like the car he just sold ?

looks more than 'light frontal' to me?... the feedback said it was bent

Whats with the pocket scales? Someone been doing a little recreational pharmacutical sales on the side? ;)

But you can buy a real car for that money.

Force her to sort out all the repairs etc, don't help at all. If you're forced to help (ie. Sex is offered/denied) tell her it's a write off.

It's her ebay account.

I can't actually tell why the insurance wrote it off unless they were looking at a bodyshop charging £500/hour labour. Obviously using new parts would push the prices up, but it's not like i'm going to be using new bits either.

The bootfloor is untouched, that was the only thing i was worried about.

Must admit i was sceptical when i saw the ad and the picture, but the car is surprisingly clean.

According to the sms hpi check it's a stolen recovered, so it could have been written off for that, not the damage.

Will have a better idea after i get a proper look at it tomorrow, couldn't be arsed after driving 500 miles to get the bloody thing!

What was the previous owner, a person or a company.

The only reason my Alfa went CAT D is because it was a company car, they have more influence with the insurance companies than you or I.

Probably a private owner, i can't see a company car only doing 37k in 5 years. But if the insurance company had already paid out and they just wanted funds back quickly.
