Hi all,

Well ive been looking at this game and it seems to get mix reviews. i brought the original crysis but was disappointed with it so i took it back and got a full refund.

is crysis warhead actually worth buying? have tweaked the engine so it runs on at least average PCs, and will it run on my pc (its in my sig).

am i also right in saying that this is a standalone game and not an addon or expansion?

The multilayer is a lot better. as is the single player experience. and for the price it is worth it.
and yes it is just a stand alone game.

Yeap great buy especially at current prices, you can't go wrong really.

Not the longest of games but gameplay is well implemented over the first games. I thought Crysis was excellent as well but experience over making the first game as meant there are some great moments in Crysis Warhead.

I don't believe the refund thing because shops would absolutely refuse that excuse, not to mention that PC games aren't resellable due to the nature of their cd-key usage. No respectable shop would accept PC games back off customers for a refund.

okay okay, it was ****.

i told a little white lie that it didnt work on my pc. in which they said they had many people complaining about it.

Well then they took a LOT of pity on you, cus if you had said that to me in my store, i would have told you "TOUGH".

Your victory, if nothing else, prooves to me why im COMPLETELY justified to refuse any sort of refund to pc gamers.

Shame you didnt like it though.

Blackhawk, edit out the store name, it's against forum rules to mention competitors.

If you didn't like the first Crysis you probably won't like Warhead, although there are a few on here who loved it and hated the original.

Even though the original Crysis had blatantly lied about the minimum requirements on its box? (GeForce 6800 GT and a single core 2.8ghz CPU my ass)

To the OP; It's worth it, well worth it actually, but don't expect the best game ever or anything it's just an above average stop-gap between the next huge FPS for me. But at £15, who's complaining?

If what Streeteh said is true then i would have told you that you have to send it off for testing (on the lowest spec system) of which i would want a full report. And if you refused i ask to speak to someone who knows the law better than you ;)

What im guessing is that the shop thought they had a faulty batch or something as they had a few people bringing it back.

minimum specs = absolute minimum settings lowest resolution etc. 6800gt, 2.8ghz single core could do that fine

At which point i would have laughed in your face, not a shop or retailer in the land would even contemplate such a stupid and arrogant request...

And if you refused i ask to speak to someone who knows the law better than you

I know what my role, as a retail assistant is, if you felt that cheated, contact our customer services, cus what ive said, is the best you could hope for over the till, and whilst im on the subject, when you say things like that, "this IS the law" and "I KNOW MY RIGHTS", you may aswell aim that at a brick wall, cus at that point im only going to reward your self awarded sense of arrogance and knowledge with NOTHING other then contempt and disgust.

Which is something people like yourself never get, you qoute rules and the such as if it makes all the difference, and it doesnt, your say obsessed with being right or IN the right, you forget that all your really after doing is getting your money back to compensate your own stupidity.
In all honesty, it amazes me how it never occurs to you to just say to me "look mate, ill level with you, it doesnt run on my system that well, or even as well as i would have hoped, i know you normally cant, but can i have my money back, or at least swap it for something else..."....see, not difficult is it, if someone says that to me, i respect there honesty and help them as best as i can...

Taken the offense over your own arrogance will get you no where, fast!;)

Sorry to get all rantish, just wanted to say my piece...
