Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo

Yeah, especially so since hearing that the Accelero S1 Rev. 2 has been made incompatible with the 4800 series?

Also, i'm pretty sure my VRMs are cooking, at a nice 248 fahrenheit! (120 Celsius, i like bigger numbers :p ) and the red dots on my screen are because of this? Just wondering because of the "lack of funds to buy cooler unless I live on beans for a fortnight" issue. :)

The price at OCUK is £35.24 inc VAT which must be a mistake and a mistype as everywhere else has it for £20 to £22 which is about right as Arctic Cooling has always been about being cheap but best perfomance for price.

I ordered one for my 4870, should be here in a few days, will keep you updated when I'm done fitting and checking some temps and maybe a few actual pics of it. :)

Who says the S1 Rev2 is not compatible with 4800 series ?

:)

the new style of vrm heatsink which comes with the s1 does a very poor job of cooling. temps in the region of 120c have been seen with them even with 120mm fans and the turbo module

I think its because the VRM module supplied is not for the 4800 series. I had to saw a bit off the end to make it fit. My temps for VRM hover around 80c under load.

I have the new twin turbo (not sure which to put it on my 8800gt or my 4850:D)

Its a lot smaller then the s1 I have so not as much metal to soak up the heat, I doubt fanless it will be a superior cooler to the S1

it beats it by 10degs and more on those benchmarks the T-Rad

I was comparing to the s1, the trad2 has been suggested at 55 dollars in the US that will come in at 30+ in the uk, I got my ACTT for 20

we all know the true stomps almost every other cpu cooler, but that dont make the freezer 7 balls does it?
