Goalie charged

Not fair? It's not fair that two children are now dead and their father is in a wheel chair.

I don't want to sound like I don't care - the though of anyone let alone little children dieing like that is terrible but people die for all sorts of reasons and sometimes it just isn't anyones fault.

If it had happened the other way round, it wasn't the drunk falling asleep but the father (perfectly possible - good people fall asleep all the time) then he would still be considered at fault because of the drink.

In that situation it isn't fair, it would quite likely go that way, and the only way to keep yourself from being bubba's bitch is to not drink because you never know what's going to happen.

I'd be happier to see the same approach to tired drivers to be honest, as I'm sure in this case his lack of sleep had as much to do with the accident as the drink (more so, given the admission he fell asleep, if that's even true).

Is it just me or does that link merely show him driving along and cuts off before anything happens?!

It does show him doing some slight lane weaving, the area of the accident probably wasn't on camera.

I imagine I've lane weaved as bad coming back from camping (stone cold sober but a bit knackered after a few nights on the floor), hence why I always pick up some red bull at a petrol station before joining the motorway now.

Actually more often than not when driving up to the lakes I'll see HGV drivers wandering over the hard shoulder, I drop back a way when I see that because god knows what carnage would occur if he drifted the other way.
