easy, stressless, low paid, weekend work

Go to your local school uniform shop and buy a beavers outfit. Then go knocking on little old ladies doors claiming you are working towards your "handyman" badge and will do any jobs for a small fee.

I'm about to get laid off next week from my current job, working shifts as a transport planner/administrator for a well known brewer. I took the job on in January as a temp to permanent position depending on my performance, but due to the pub industry taking a nose dive at present, the permanent position's just not materialised. The manager's have told me that they're more than happy with how I've been doing in the role and they'd love to keep me if they could, but as sales are down by about half, they need to cut costs. Oh well, c'est la vie. :(

Luckily, due to a change in circumstances, my monthly outgoings have gone down from just under £300 per month to about £70, thus I don't need to earn that much to make ends meet. I'm currently waiting on an answer from a job I initially started the application process for back in May, but in the meantime, I'll be looking to take on a casual, stress free job while I wait for an answer, or sort something else out if I get knocked back.

easy and stress free. :p

Basic shop work is fun, I used to work in a sports store and that was really enjoyable. Whatever you do, don't get a supermarket job if you just want something that is easy and stress free. Also agree about the call centre, that is pretty stressful.

Maybe offer friends and neighbours to walk their dogs for them at a reasonable price.

my housemate gets paid over £100 a night dogsitting for someone she found on gumtree. All she has to do is walk the dog and then spend the rest of the time in with it

Blockbuster - soooo simple. Stress free. You get to put on any films you want to watch, and just sit there all day.

Garden Centre - move plants to peoples cars, most customers are liekly to be pleasnt all quite simple.

Library -couldn't think of anything easier of less stressful apparently quite well paid.

Have to second the Garden Centre bit, I worked in one from April to December last year and it was completely stress free. People are a lot less grumpy walking around amongst the plants then doing their weekly food shop. During the summer it's a lovely enviroment to be in, and during the winter it's a lot quieter so you can sit back and relax (as long as you've not got too many responsibilities outside in the rain!).

The one I worked in was a smaller independant garden centre so the manager was very laid back and I knew all the people who worked there, and they knew all the regulars. Whatever you go for, I'd probably advise a smaller independant company rather than any big chains as they're more likely to have targets etc. you have to beat.

Steward ? find a local footy team and apply. I do it at weekends and the odd tuesday evening. You get to watch footy (although your meant to watch the people :p) get a free drink free food. hassle free unless it all kicks off :p

I enjoy it, its not huge income but its something :) i cant believe people actually pay to watch it when im being paid to to watch it :D

Working in a distribution centre, easy stress free work, no customers to deal with and most operate 24 hours 7 days a week.

I'd second blockbuster, however the people who work in my local branch are herberts so I'd probably advise that if you want interesting company - best avoid.

However, being a hospital night porter appears to be a dream, if you can handle moving dead bodies about. All the ones in our local hospital do is sit and watch telly and smoke. Occasionally move some stuff about, and get paid well for it. Saying that, the company will likely be over 50's smokeblokes and dead people.

Depends on your priorities I suppose.

I did some telesales for a couple of months which was pretty chilled; as long as you are reasonably eloquent it isn't very hard to meet your targets, and if you were any good you earned a fair bit!

My software development job is pretty chilled :), especially compared to my old job which was phone tech support.

Unfortunately it doesn't work out like this, not at my local XtraVision anyway. You can only put films on that are PG and the very odd 12A. For obvious reasons really cause kids can shop there by themselves and it is against the law to let a child below 15 to watch a 15 or 18.

Sucks really cause most decent films are 15 and above.
