Just bought Deus Ex GOTY AGAIN!!!!!

So i just bought Deus Ex again from STEAM, bargain for £5...

I just wondered if i can run it at 1920 x 1200 as im just about to download the high def texture pack...

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

You can play it for free on Gametap. and i beleive it can play at a higher resolution.

I assume just change the res to 1920 x 1200 and it should world. FOV might be an issue but play around til you get it looking good.

So for 16:10 whats the normal FOV?

The optimal FOV for a 16:10 display is 90.

So got it working. Think the res is 1920 x 1200 cant get the HDTP to work with STEAM though.

Any ideas?

Make sure you grab the DX9 renderer from here: http://cwdohnal.home.mindspring.com/utglr/
(haven't tried this myself, but have used older renderers of his)

Should be able to change the res fairly easily, I think it's called 'fullscreenviewportx/y' or something like that in the config file / advanced options

Try dxglr18 = OpenGLDrv.dll = very smooth game play in high res and OTP UI Fix > A fix for the ugly upscaling of the GUI in DX at high resolutions

Im running at 1680 * 1050 wide very smooth with the above all so the OpenGldrv.dll sorts out the glitches if any from org install.

I bought this game years ago when it first came out. I'm going have to dig it out and see how well it runs on my netbook. I have fond memories of the game. I just hope I aren't wearing rose tinted glasses.

nope. the 2 times that i played the game; last year and probably about 2001 (2 completely different pcs) i had the same issues.
