I currently have an N95, and think its the worst phone i've ever had in my life. The menu system is pathetically slow, it crashes now and then when removing the usb data cable, as well as others things. It makes me want to thrown it against a wall at least once a day. Before the N95 i had a Sony Ericsson k800i which wasen't too bad. It didn't have as many features as the N95, but at least it worked and i don't remember it being slow. I don't want to go back to the K800i, but what good phones are available (from your favourite auction site or elsewhere) without contract for £100? I will only really be using it for calls/text (no need for msging etc) but would also like it to have a decent memory capacity as i use my phone as a usb stick, and also good music playback functionality as i use it as an mp3 player. A good quality camera would also be a good thing. Any help appreciated

I have the phone up from that at the moment - K810i and it's pretty good. Memory isn't that large but expandable using the MM2 type cards. Not sure how much it can take.
The camera is good at 3.2mp, offers video calling etc.
Best thing is to decide what brand you're after, look at some reviews and features or even go into a mobile shop and ask to try things out/ask for advice.

I know this doesn't really answer your question but have you updated the firmware on your n95?

If you key in #*000# or *#000# (I can never remember which) it will tell you your firmware version.

Version 30 is now out and makes the phone a lot faster and usable.

If your still on version 10 then even upgrading to version 20 will fix a lot of problems (The menu system is pathetically slow, it crashes now and then when removing the usb data cable)

I had to change my IMEI number to a generic one (From an O2 one) to get the version 30 but as I said, if your still on v10 then v20 will make things a lot smoother (well it did for me)

Sorry I can't be more help with you getting a new phone but the N95 is ok when you get rid of the little problems ;)

Hope this helps, Doug.

Firmware upgrade might be worth a try before splashing on a new phone, i had an N95 for over a year, i always thought it was the best phone i ever had.
